Activity day designed for Year 1–3 primary school children, in line with the curriculum. The activities are adapted for the age group and for the most part take place in the country, in the fresh air and a tranquil environment. They are led by a local guide and last 180 minutes. The children learn about the geographical features of the eastern part of the Ljubljana region and get to know natural and cultural heritage and village "characters". Activities include finding the dragon's footprints, solving tasks and crosswords, doing jigsaws, making paper flowers and sampling farmhouse specialities. All of this is accompanied by the tale of the Land of Strawberries, which ends at the highest point in the urban municipality of Ljubljana, in Janče, where there is a wonderful view over the Julian Alps, the Kamnik-Savinja Alps and the Pohorje Massif.We would like to develop the project to make it suitable for families too. We are seeking co-financers.
