The City of Ljubljana (MOL) offers a package of technical and financial assistance to five future entrepreneurs in the sphere of tourism. From among the i-deposits of the Bank of Tourism Potentials in Slovenia, in cooperation with the MOL's experts, we will select up to five tourism ideas whose owners are prepared to realise them in their own enterprises, which will be founded with our help in the City of Ljubljana.

Priority in the selection will be given to ideas that:

1) are able to be realised in the territory of the City of Ljubljana and at the same time while enable connections with other tourist destinations in Slovenia

2) are connected with the development of integrated tourism products on the basis of digital technologies or with Measures II and III "Innovation Action Plan for Slovenia: tourism/culture umbrella to increase competitivity, cohesion and employment", elaborated as part of the EU INNOVATION COACH project (more information about the two measures)

3) reach the BTPS before 15.3.2007.

Through its support environment the MOL offers technical and financial assistance in order to help the most promising ideas reach the market as soon as possible and therefore offers: enterprise workshops, donations to potential entrepreneurs to start up an enterprise in the City of Ljubljana, assistance in the preparation of a business plan for the purpose of obtaining capital (seed capital, risk capital, business angels, funds, banks, etc.), 3-year mentorship.

A Rehido centre as an extra service for tourists is something brand new in the marketplace. It involves an energy-based approach to strengthening the immune system; it involves a light touch of the therapist's hands, which balances the individual's energy and creates balance in the circulation of the basic elements of the energy system. It is based above all on Hippocrates' theory of eucrasia. The Rehido centre would offer group/individual therapy and training. The range of the centres goes beyond complementary medicine and contains the possibility of development of integrative medicine, above all in health resorts. The idea of implementing Rehido centres is financially relatively undemanding and is based above all on rich knowledge of forgotten theories and years of experience.

The combination of capacities following the principle of the big hotel chains such as Intercontinental, Marriott, Best Western, Holiday Inn etc. at the world level and in a completely different sphere which has no connection with the traditional hotel trade. The main competitive advantage of the idea lies in the fact that if it is successfully developed there are no losers.

The project is already under way. Because of the great momentum of the project, we are seeking investors who in specific areas would contribute to the even faster growth of the combining process.

Our structure offers no wellness services. Last year, when we carried out a geological investigation, we found that by sinking a 600-metre well we would reach thermal water and could create a spa or an Alpine thermal water park. Projects have already been prepared.

We are seeking co-financers.

A new and unusual concept of designing tourism programmes for domestic and foreign tourists which makes it possible to achieve the highest levels of surprise and intensity of experience for the target group while providing a selected level of safety and adaptation to the wishes of the individual. The concept has not yet been applied either in Slovenia or abroad (it is genuinely new!), which means that for the organiser of this type of travel it will mean the highest level of differentiation from the competition.

Compensation for use of the idea: a share in the profit generated by the use of the idea.

The idea represents a completely new approach to the development of tourism products.

The concept enables maximum adaptation of the tourism product to the wishes and needs of the target group of tourists, it increases the brand prestige of the tourism provider and helps increase tourist loyalty to the tourism provider.

Publishing mountain bike tours in Slovenia in one place and presenting them to a broader public as one of the most attractive free-time sports.

The following information will be available on the website: Basic data (length, height, difficulty, map, etc.), GPS data, descriptions of bicycle tours – detailed descriptions of tours, photographs from tours and points of interest, additional information on overnight accommodation, farm tourism, mountain huts, etc.

Once the first phase is complete, I will supplement my i-dea with the organisation of guided mountain bike tours throughout Slovenia in an unusual way that is fully adapted to individual clients.

Innovative concept in the sphere of (private patient) health tourism
This is a completely new idea suitable for health resorts (conditionally spas) in the sphere of (private patient) health resort services. The realisation of the idea means significantly increased added value for the provider of health resort services in the sphere of health tourism in return for a small investment. This idea has not yet been implemented in Slovenia or neighbouring countries. A slightly different form of this concept has been implemented abroad with great success, and this also represented the basis for the development of the proposed innovation

An outline concept interesting for one of more tourist destinations in Slovenia which would enable them to achieve a significant level of specialisation and differentiation in respect of other destinations.

The idea can be divided into 2 stages, where the second stage builds on the first stage and represents a bold upgrading of the innovation. From the timetable point of view, it is possible in the first phase to realise the first stage alone or the first and second stages

Applicable at all destinations in Slovenia.

Realisation of this idea means significantly increased added value in exchange for minimal or negligible investment for providers of catering services (above all the idea is aimed at restaurants, health resorts and hotels) in designing their culinary services. Realisation of the idea means addressing specific target groups of potential visitors in an innovative way (we can find no example of this idea having been realised in Slovenia and we have no information as to its having been introduced in practice in other countries).

I am prepared to sell for a symbolic price.
